Couch Cushions

Somebody got new shoes! She loves them! I think she feels like a big girl in these shoes because Mama has some (without the back strap)! These are the first pair she's ever worn that go between the toe!

Other than her shoes, she is very much in love with this at the moment. Putting all the couch cushions on the ground and covering them with a quilt. She lies on it, jumps on it, runs across it, and uses it as a bed for her dolls (Baby, Barbie, and Woody from Toy Story).
Watching a little Backyardigans.
Oh, how she loves Woody. She carries him around and kisses him. She makes him take sips of her cup. She helps him walk up the stairs and jump on the bed. She hasn't even seen Toy Story, but I'm thinking it may be on our list of things to do this weekend.
It wasn't long until she discovered that it would be super fun to put her chair on top of the cushions. A few seconds later, she flipped backwards and banged her head on the ground. No more chairs allowed on the cushions!
We hope you all enjoyed your Monday. It was a HOT one here! We love and miss you!

A Super Sunday

It was a very super Superbowl Sunday for one little girl. Daddy took her back to the park. The big one where the horse stables are. And guess what? Today there were horses! Like this little guy (whom Daddy said was her favorite)!
Apparently, she couldn't get enough of all the ride, ride, rides! I'm a little heartbroken that I stayed at home and missed it.
I think she has grown this week. She seems much taller to me. Stop growing so fast, little one.

Saturday Stuff

Here is a little outline of our day.
-AC woke up really early (5:45) crying. She never wakes up crying. I wasn't sure what was wrong until after I had pulled out all the stops to soothe her. Let's just say that she has a fierce case of diaper rash, the worst yet. She wouldn't sit down and didn't want to be held if your arms were on her tush. So we lay on the ground in front of the computer and watched Barney for a while. She was better after this.
-Daddy had an office football game this afternoon. AC and I had plans to go, but we just couldn't get it together and eventually Daddy had to leave without us. Maybe next year.
-AC took an early nap.
-After nap and lunch, we shared a little ice cream. She LOVED it. She is her mother's child.

"Here, Mama. You wanna bite?"
So very sad when it was all gone and Mama wouldn't get her another one.

-Daddy got home from his game. He took his girl outside to play for a while. She had to go to timeout when she got in because she kicked me in the stomach when I was taking off her shoes. And might I add...today is the first time I have put her in time out and she has stayed. Usually I have to put her back in there at least 3 times. Woohoo for small victories!
-Dinner of cabbage rolls and baked potatoes. AC goes to bed. And then this girl gets some love from her dad. The poor thing is starving for attention.
We hope you all enjoyed your Saturday!

Hide-n-Seek

So, I leave AC in the living room with paper and crayons to quickly go into the kitchen. When I came back, she wasn't where I left her. And then I noticed this.

She has just recently started to hide from me. She will sit really quiet and then crack up when I find her. I'm not a big fan of this new game! Hopefully she doesn't get better at picking hiding spots.

Photo Booth

We wore our pjs all day today. The only reason is because I was too lazy to have it any other way. AC eventually took her pjs off. We didn't go anywhere or do anything outside of the house. It was a VERY lazy day. I even have a picture to prove it.
Here we are...in all our natural glory. We had a lot of fun playing with the Photo Booth on our computer. Geez. That treadmill is huge. I've never noticed!

Strolling Around Town

Not much going on here today. Just a little Barney, a little counting, some flash cards, a few books, a little play-doh. Lunch of spaghetti and peas. A nap. Then we headed out to get a few things accomplished. But this came first. A little stroll with Baby.

Doesn't AC look like a mini Richard Simmons here!!! Bahahaha!
A few kisses for Baby.

Then she pulled some bark off the tree next to the driveway.
Waiting on my gas to pump and stopped to take a picture of something rare - AC not screaming or crying in her car seat.
Our first stop. Curtain rod...check.
Our second stop. Apple juice...check. Bananas...check. Cabbage for cabbage rolls...oops.
The bribe = Raisinets.
Now, I'm off the eat my P.F. Changs carryout (because I forgot the cabbage).

Back to the Park

So, today we went back to the park. Not the same one as yesterday. This park is at the end of our neighborhood. It's not nearly as cool, but it worked.

After a few minutes of playing on the playground, AC saw this contraption. It was a small cage sitting in the middle of an open field. Weird. She hightailed it over to see what was inside.
This little banner was hanging on the outside, AND....
this little guy was perching atop a hole inside. A teeny, tiny burrowing owl. AC was mesmerized. After a few minutes of conversing with the owl, she said, "Bye, bye" and walked back to the slides!
And finally, when it was time to leave, she protested by trying to drag her car off. I eventually got her strapped into the car and we headed home. She was not a happy girl.
When Daddy got home, we went downtown to fill out more forms for property taxes. AC gave no less than her best as she smiled and waved and talked to EVERY single person we passed. What a sweet girl I have! We think we have all this tax stuff sorted out. Finally. Happy Monday, everyone!
