Diaper rash cream, anyone?

Long day. Rainy day. More tomorrow.

Aunties

Having awesome aunties is one of the very best blessings in life. I know because I have a few of my own. So does AC. Her aunties are so awesome that they gave her this adorable bathing suit and super cool hair bow. Thanks, Aunt Meg and Aunt Nicki! AC loves you both so much. And some day, I promise, we will all be close together again and she will get to spend more time with you both!

Hanging out in Daddy's car while she models her new outfit!

Telling Mama something very serious (notice I'm getting the finger point).

Now, we just need to get well enough to go to the pool, or the beach! Love and miss you all!

Sneaky

This morning I caved and put Barney on so that could clean up the dumpster that was my kitchen. It is not uncommon for AC to sing and squeal when a good song comes on. So, I found it strange that one of her favorites, "Mr. Knickerbocker", was playing and I didn't hear her. When I peeked around the corner, I saw this.

She knows she isn't allowed to play with the iPad alone. In the past, she has thrown it, stood on it, licked it, and anything else you could possibly imagine. Don't worry, Daddy. No harm was done.

Normal Again

I'm sorry for the scattered blog posts. AC and I are finally starting to feel normal again, so I should be back on track with the blog. I'm hoping to get a video this week! I'll see how it goes. No promises.
I have mentioned many times how much my girl loves balls. "Ball" was her first word, after all. Well, Daddy took her to Walmart on Saturday and made the mistake of strolling through the sporting goods section. Have you ever noticed how many balls are there? To make a long story short, Daddy ended up buying a $20 basketball because AC refused to take no for an answer (and Daddy is a pushover)! She absolutely loves this basketball. Maybe it was money well spent.

And because I desperately needed a laugh, I added this little jewel. Me and my crew when we were youngins. Beautiful bunch, weren't we?!?! Hahahaha!

It's Going Around

My predictions have come to be. I think I have the flu. I feel much better today than I did yesterday but I still feel like poo. Luckily it is the weekend and Daddy is here to help. We didn't do much today besides lie around and watch TV. AC is getting better. She has her moments where she is very grumpy and seems to be feeling bad but other times she is her wild self. Her diaper rash, or lack thereof, looks fabulous. 5 days of oral anti-fungal meds and it is almost completely gone. She still acts like it bugs her even though it looks a million times better. Maybe a few more days and she will be back to normal.
Now if only we can just keep Daddy from getting sick! Fingers crossed.

Stickers

Daddy and I were having a morning chat when I noticed that AC had wandered off. I called for her and within a few seconds she came bounding around the corner. As soon as I saw her, I began laughing hysterically. She found these stickers somewhere (I have no idea where) and decided they made a good accessory.

She also found a battery. What a funny girl I have!

On the Mend

Either my girl didn't have the flu or this Tamiflu stuff is the real deal. I wouldn't go as far to say that she is 100% well, but she is feeling a whole lot better. She didn't have a fever today. She ate a lot. She hasn't thrown up. She did seem a little drowsy this morning but that is the only symptom I noticed today. Hallelujah! I'm so happy that she is feeling better. Who wouldn't feel better if their mom let them wear this outfit around all day?

All that stuff on the floor behind her is where she took everything out of the pantry.
The diaper rash is holding strong. I am beyond frustrated with it. She is supposed to be on the meds for 3-5 days. I'm going to be an angry (and unpleasant) mama if come Saturday she still has it. It's getting ridiculous.
Now let's just hope that Daddy and I don't get the flu (or whatever it was)! I've started coughing a lot over the course of the day. I pray that's all it is...a cough!
