Sorry for my week long hiatus. Daddy's been gone for work 11 of the last 17 days. It's exhausting. This often means the blog gets neglected. Anyway, here's what we've been up to.
Last Thursday, we drove to see my friend, Abby, and her family while they were vacationing nearby. AC had a blast playing with Clark, who just turned 4, and the twins, who are 9 months. We swam and had lunch and talked and played. It was a wonderful day. Being able to spend time with friends makes me miss home more than I normally do. Sigh.

It was funny to watch them play. She is so girly and he is very much a little boy. At one point, I heard this:
AC: Clark, you wanna play with my Barbies?
Clark: (long pause). Um, you wanna play with my cars?
AC: (long pause). Sure.
And off they went. They really had a lot of fun together. They played hide-and-seek, played with stickers, watched Toy Story 3, played tag, and much more!

On Saturday, Daddy came home from Haiti. He surprised his baby with cupcakes. She thought they were yummy.
She is going through a phase now where she loves playing dress up. This tutu is a popular choice because she can get it on all by herself.
She was dressed for Independence Day on Monday. She made lots of festive crafts at school!
This evening she spent some time playing with her dad. She and Daddy were talking about something really funny, apparently.
