I'm going to apologize in advance for being slightly negative today. I don't like negativity on this blog, but we've had a bad week. For starters, AC's stomach bug RAPIDLY spread to her dad and me. Not even 12 hours later, we were both as sick as dogs. This isn't a 24 hour bug, mind you. The only thing worse than having a sick baby is being sick at the same time as your baby, and your husband. Lots of puke around here folks. I'll leave it at that. You're welcome.
Add 4 new and very painful new teeth and I've got a girl who won't eat. The Zofran helped her hold down some fluids but I'm pretty sure it gave her a wicked headache. So I nixed the Zofran. Thankfully, she quickly started drinking again. She wakes up in the morning and begs for water. Today she actually ate 2 bites of rice crispies, half a banana, 2 bites of scrambled eggs, about 10 M&Ms, and about 4 bites of yogurt. She has drank about 20 oz. of liquid. Not much but she is still having wet diapers and her energy level and attitude have gone up significantly. Only 2 meltdowns today as opposed to a continuous all-day meltdown yesterday.
More negativity: I'm not sure how anyone on this green earth, anyone, could enjoy living in this miserable and oppressive heat. I kid you not when I say that I had sweat through my shirt just walking about 20 yards from my car and into Whole Foods this afternoon. Just for fun (or torment) I looked up today's humidity index. 93% folks. Did I mention that I hate it? I'm not sure I'll ever get used to 95 degrees and 93% humidity. It makes me feel like a prisoner in my own home.
Ok, that's it. I'm done complaining. Please say a prayer for my girl. I just want her to feel better soon. We've watched lots of Toy Story the last few days. Maybe tomorrow she will feel up to a new activity.
